Designing Waterproof Carry Solutions for Outdoor Adventure
My Role
As the Design Director for the soft goods program at SUN NINJA, I led the development of a new line of waterproof coolers and beach bags from concept through manufacturing, directing industrial design, CMF strategy, technical documentation, bill of materials (BOMs), and cross-functional product development to deliver durable, performance-driven products built for life outdoors.
Collaborators
Industrial design was completed in collaboration with Scott Davis, while Dale Burrowes led the engineering efforts. Scott Davis, Mervyn Chen, and I partnered on CMF development, and all four collaborators worked closely throughout product development and manufacturing readiness.
